Richard N. Baer serves as Executive Vice President, General Counsel, and Secretary at SiriusXM Holdings Inc., where he leads the company's global legal team and oversees all aspects of legal affairs, including regulatory compliance, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, intellectual property, and litigation. Prior to SiriusXM, he spent 17 years at Time Warner Inc., advancing to Senior Vice President and Deputy General Counsel. During his tenure there, Baer managed high-profile transactions, including the AOL-Time Warner merger, numerous content licensing agreements, and international joint ventures. A summa cum laude graduate of the University of Pennsylvania with a B.A. in economics and a J.D. from Harvard Law School, Baer is widely respected for his strategic acumen and ability to mitigate risks in dynamic media landscapes. Under his leadership, SiriusXM has successfully defended key intellectual property rights, expanded into podcasting and automotive integrations, and maintained strong ethical standards, contributing to the company's position as a leader in audio entertainment.
