DAMBISA MOYO has served as co-principal of Versaca Investments, a family office focused on growth investing globally, since she co-founded the firm in 2021. She is a global economist and commentator analyzing the macroeconomy and international affairs. Since 2008, Dr. Moyo has been engaged in researching, speaking, and writing about international macroeconomics. She was Chief Executive Officer of Mildstorm LLC, a financial and economics firm, from 2015 to 2021. Prior to that, she worked at Goldman Sachs and at the World Bank. In addition, she is a member of the House of Lords (United Kingdom), sitting as Baroness Moyo of Knightsbridge.

Dr. Moyo holds a doctorate in economics from St. Anthony s College, Oxford, an MPA from Harvard University, and both an MBA and bachelor s degree in chemistry from American University.

Dr. Moyo brings to the board a strong global perspective, a deep understanding of economic policy, and a commitment to responsible development. This experience uniquely positions her to advise on Starbucks strategy and support our mission to create economic opportunities and uplift communities worldwide.
