Mr. Kaufman has served as our Chairman, CEO and President since June 2003. Mr. Kaufman has been CEO and President of ACM since its inception in 1993. ACM was our external manager from our inception through the middle of 2017. ACM remains active in the commercial real estate industry. In 1983, Mr. Kaufman co-founded a predecessor of Arbor National Holdings Inc. and its residential lending subsidiary, Arbor National Mortgage Inc., which went public in 1992.
