Dr. Carter has served as our Chief Scientific Officer since September 2022. He previously served as our Senior Vice President of Research from March 2022 to September 2022, our Vice President of Research from November 2018 to March 2022, and as our Senior Director, Neuroscience from June 2016 to November 2018. Prior to joining us in 2016, Dr. Carter served as the Senior Science Advisor to the Office of the Director of the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard. Previously, he oversaw research at BrainCells Inc. as Senior Director of Biology. Dr. Carter received a B.A. in genetics from Texas A&M University and a Ph.D. in genetics from Columbia University, and he completed his postdoctoral training at the Salk Institute for Biomedical Research.
