Dr. Harris brings to the Board of Directors a wide and varied set of experiences. He is a former astronaut, having completed two space shuttle missions, and was honored as the 2022 recipient of the National Space Grant Distinguished Service Award. In addition, Dr. Harris is an internal medicine physician, which allows him to bring to the Board of Directors the perspective of an experienced healthcare professional. Dr. Harris service as Managing Partner of a venture capital firm also has afforded him with a wide range of experience in operating healthcare and technologies companies, and in investing in a variety of emerging technologies and informatics in the broad healthcare market. His service on the boards of National Academy of Medicine, the Texas Medical Center, and St. Luke s Health System Texas Division, provides him with a deep understanding of healthcare and healthcare services businesses. Also, Dr. Harris has two decades of experience with the Company, providing him with comprehensive knowledge of the Company and its structure, policies and management team, which he applies to his service as Lead Independent Director and Chair of the Nominating and Governance Committee.
