Miller, who had previously served as our Chief Executive Officer since our inception in 1978, stepped down from that role effective as of January 1, 2021 and assumed the role of Executive Chairman of the Board. Prior to 1978, Mr. Alan B. Miller was Chairman of the Board, Chief Executive Officer and President of American Medicorp, Inc. Mr. Alan B. Miller continues to serve as Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Chief Executive Officer and President of Universal Health Realty Income Trust. He is the father of Marc D.
