Sidney M. Gutierrez Committee Memberships: Audit and Ethics Finance Mr. Gutierrez has extensive experience in the aerospace industry and in government. Mr. Gutierrez is a retired astronaut and former Director of Safety and Mission Assurance at Space Exploration Technologies Corp. (SpaceX), where he oversaw safety and mission assurance functions for all SpaceX operations. Prior to his role at SpaceX, Mr. Gutierrez served as a NASA astronaut for approximately 15 years, during which he completed four space shuttle missions, was the Deputy Chief of the Astronaut Office, and held various positions in mission operations. In his roles at NASA and SpaceX, Mr. Gutierrez has developed and led high-performing teams, managed complex operations, and implemented rigorous safety protocols and procedures. Mr. Gutierrez also serves on the board of directors of a non-profit organization focused on science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) education. Mr. Gutierrez s background in aerospace safety and operations, his experience managing complex technical operations, his expertise in safety culture and protocols, and his government and private sector experience provide valuable perspective to the Board. Mr. Gutierrez brings to the Company extensive experience in managing large-scale technical operations, implementing rigorous safety and quality assurance protocols, and developing effective safety cultures within organizations, which are increasingly relevant to the Company s operations.
