Mr. Kavanaugh has been the chief financial officer of International Business Machines Corporation (IBM) since January 2018, overseeing accounting and controllership, financial planning and analysis, tax, internal audit, investor relations, corporate strategy, corporate development and treasury of the company's worldwide financial operations. Prior to that, he was senior vice president, Transformation & Operations, where he was responsible for redesigning IBM's operating model to align with fundamental market shifts and driving new ways of working while incorporating speed and agility throughout the enterprise. In his current role as the CFO at IBM, Mr. Kavanaugh continues to oversee Transformation & Operations, including the Chief Information Office, as well as the company's Global Chief Data Office, Enterprise Operations & Services and Real Estate Operations.
