Stuart A. Harshaw is being nominated to join the Board for the first time at the Annual Meeting. Mr. Harshaw has served as director, president and chief executive officer of Nickel Creek Platinum Corp., a mining exploration and development company, since October 2020 and is the president of Stuart Harshaw Consulting, a consulting company, since January 2018. Previously, Mr. Harshaw held senior leadership roles with Vale S.A., a mining company, from July 2007 to October 2017 and Inco Ltd., a mining company, from 1990 to 2006. Mr. Harshaw has served as a director of International Tower Hill Mines LLC. since April 2018 and as a director of Platinum Group Metals Limited since April 2019. He was previously a director of Constantine Metal Resources Ltd. from July 2018 to December 2020. Mr. Harshaw earned a Bachelor of Science in metallurgical engineering from Queen's University and a Master of Business Administration from Laurentian University. Skills and Qualifications: Mr. Harshaw is qualified to serve on the Board based on his experience in the mining industry and extensive knowledge of large-scale EPC, including the opportunities, challenges and operations that NuScale has and will face. He also brings experience from his service as a director of other boards that will enhance the skills and capabilities of the Board.
