Mr. Smith is an industry veteran with more than 35 years of gaming experience. He joined Boyd Gaming in 1990 and held various executive positions before being promoted to Chief Operating Officer in 2001. In 2005, Mr. Smith was named President and elected as a director of Boyd Gaming and in 2008 he assumed the role of CEO. The common stock of Boyd Gaming is traded on the New York Stock Exchange. Mr. Smith holds a bachelor s degree in Accounting from Arizona State University. He served as Chair of the Los Angeles Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco from 2012 to 2014. He served as Chair of the American Gaming Association and the Nevada Resort Association. He served as Vice Chair of the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority from 2005 to 2011.
