Mr. Herringer is the former Chairman of the Board and CEO of Transamerica Corporation (Transamerica), a financial services company. He served as Chairman of the Board of Transamerica from 1996 until 2015, CEO from 1991 until 1999 and President from 1986 until 1999, when Transamerica was acquired by AEGON N.V. (AEGON).
