She is widely recognized as a national expert on executive compensation and governance. Ms. Thatcher co-authored the Compensation Committee Handbook, 2nd and 3rd editions (John Wiley & Sons), which serves as a guidebook for executive compensation strategies and practices, addressing a full range of functional issues facing compensation committees of public companies, including organizing, planning, compliance, and sound corporate governance. Ms. Thatcher served on the Board of Directors of Batson-Cook Company, a regional commercial construction and development company, from 1994 to 2007. She also served on the Board of Directors of The Atlanta Legal Aid Society, Inc., from 2008 to 2014, and was a Past Chair of the Advisory Board of the Certified Equity Professional Institute (CEPI) of Santa Clara University and was on the Board of Review for a special project sponsored by CEPI that provided universally accepted industry guidance regarding areas of risk and appropriate controls in equity compensation.
