Brett A. Cope joined Powell in 2011 assuming the role of the Vice President of Sales and Marketing. He was later promoted to the Chief Operating Officer in 2015 and then President and Chief Executive Officer effective October 2016. In 2019, Mr. Cope was elected as the Chairman of the Board of Directors and currently holds such position. Prior to joining Powell, Mr. Cope served as Group Vice President for ABB Ltd., responsible for the strategic development and execution of global business initiatives for ABB s activities with ExxonMobil Corporation. Mr. Cope joined ABB in 1990, where he spent 20 years in various roles within Engineering, Project operations and Sales management.
