Dr. Hsiao has served as Vice-Chairman and Chief Technical Officer of the Company since May 2007 and as a director since February 2007. Dr. Hsiao has served as Chairman of the Board of Non-Invasive Monitoring Systems, Inc. (OTC US:NIMU), a medical device company, since October 2008 and was named Interim Chief Executive Officer of Non-Invasive Monitoring Systems, Inc. in February 2012. Dr. Hsiao previously served as a director of Cocrystal Pharma, Inc. (NASDAQ:COCP), a biotechnology company developing new treatments for viral diseases, and Asensus Surgical, Inc., a medical device company. Dr. Hsiao served as the Vice Chairman-Technical Affairs of IVAX from 1995 to January 2006. Dr. Hsiao served as Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and President of IVAX Animal Health, IVAX s veterinary products subsidiary, from 1998 to 2006. Dr. Hsiao s background in pharmaceutical sciences and strong technical expertise, as well as her senior management experience, allow her to play a leadership role in overseeing our product selection for development and providing strategies for approval by regulatory authorities. In addition, as director and/or chairman in the life sciences industry, she also has a keen understanding of the operational cost efficiencies and pharmaceutical market opportunities.
