Sean Bohen, M.D., Ph.D. has served as our Chief Executive Officer and as a member of our Board of Directors since September 2020. Dr. Bohen has served as a member of the board of directors of AltruBio, Inc. (formerly AbGenomics, Inc.), a pharmaceutical company, since August 2019. From September 2015 to April 2019, Dr. Bohen served as the Executive Vice President, Global Medicines Development and Chief Medical Officer at AstraZeneca PLC, a pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical company. From June 2003 to July 2015, he held a number of senior leadership roles at Genentech, Inc., a biotechnology company, including Senior Vice President, Early Development, Genentech Research and Early Development. Prior to that, Dr. Bohen was a Clinical Instructor in Oncology at Stanford University School of Medicine from October 2002 to December 2011, a research associate at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute from July 2000 to June 2003 and a postdoctoral fellow at the National Cancer Institute from January through December 1995. Dr. Bohen received a B.S. in Bacteriology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and a Ph.D. in Biochemistry & Biophysics and M.D. from the University of California, San Francisco. We believe Dr. Bohen is qualified to serve on our Board of Directors due to his extensive experience in the biopharmaceutical industry, including his significant oncology experience, as well as the perspective and experience he brings as our President and Chief Executive Officer.
