Mr. Hauser is the former Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of FairPoint Communications, Inc., a provider of communication services located in Charlotte, N.C. He served in the role from July 2009 to August 2010 and thereafter served as a consultant until March 2011. From 1998-2009, Mr. Hauser held leadership positions with Duke Energy Corporation, including group executive and chief financial officer and vice president and treasurer. Mr. Hauser also currently serves as chairman of the board of EnPro Inc. He is a former member of the board of trustees of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and of Furman University and a retired member of the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants.
