Christopher D. Maher has served as Chairman of the Company and the Bank since 2017 and as CEO of the Company and the Bank since 2015. He previously served as President of the Bank from 2015 to 2021, at which time he was succeeded by Mr. Lebel. He joined the Company and the Bank in 2013 as President and Chief Operating Officer and was appointed to the Board of Directors in 2014. Mr. Maher is active in the non-profit community, serving as Chairman of the Board of the OceanFirst Foundation, a Trustee and former Board Chairman of Helen Keller Services for the Blind, as Trustee and the Chairman of the Monmouth University Board, and as a Trustee and Chairman of Hackensack Meridian Ambulatory Care. He also serves as a member of the Board of Hackensack Meridian Health. He is active within the banking industry, having served as a director of the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia from 2020 through 2024 and as a member of the Board of the New Jersey Bankers Association from 2016 through 2026, where he was a past Board Chairman.
