Antonio R. Sanchez, Jr. has been a director of the Company since 1995. He has been an independent oil and gas operator since 1973, an owner, director since 1979, and the Chairman of the Board of Sanchez Oil & Gas Corporation since 1992. Also, from 2012 to 2020, Mr. Sanchez served as a director and the chairman of the board of Sanchez Energy Corporation (formerly NYSE: SN), which during that time was an independent, publicly traded oil and natural gas exploration and production company. Mr. Sanchez s long tenure as a successful businessman, his public company leadership experience, his long-standing service as a director of the Company, as well as his strong ties to and knowledge of the Texas communities we serve have led the Board to conclude that Mr. Sanchez should continue serving on our Board.
