Michael W. Michelson was a Senior Advisory Partner of KKR & Co. L.P. from January 2018 to the end of 2019. From 2009 to 2018, he was a member of KKR Management LLC, a private equity investment manager and the general partner of KKR & Co. L.P. Before that, Mr. Michelson was a member of the limited liability company which served as the general partner of KKR & Co. L.P. from 1996 to 2009. Prior to that, he was a general partner of KKR & Co. L.P. Mr. Michelson previously served as a director of the Company from 2006 to 2016. He served as a director of Zimmer Biomet Holdings, Inc., a medical device company, from 2015 to 2024 and was previously a director of Biomet, Inc. from 2007 to 2015. Among other qualifications, Mr. Michelson was selected as a director and the independent presiding director of the Company in light of his extensive experience in the oversight of companies with complex operations and capital structures, his focus on health care companies and his proven leadership abilities. We believe this experience will continue to be beneficial in providing financial, investment and health care expertise to the Board.
