Laurie Brlas, 68, joined the Company s Board on January 11, 2019. In December 2016, Ms. Brlas retired from Newmont Mining Corporation ( Newmont ), a mining industry leader in value creation and sustainability. Ms. Brlas joined Newmont in 2013 and served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer until October 2016. From 2006 through 2013, Ms. Brlas held various positions of increasing responsibility with Cliffs Natural Resources, most recently she served as Chief Financial Officer and then as Executive Vice President and President, Global Operations. Prior to that, Ms. Brlas served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of STERIS Corporation from 2000 through 2006 and from 1995 through 2000, Ms. Brlas held various positions of increasing responsibility with Office Max, Inc. Most recently, Ms. Brlas served as Senior Vice President and Corporate Controller. Ms. Brlas currently serves on the Board of Directors of Albemarle Corporation, a specialty chemical company, and Autoliv, Inc., a global automotive safety supplier. Qualifications: The Board concluded that Ms. Brlas is qualified to serve as a Director of the Company because of her previous executive leadership roles at several large public companies, including serving as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Newmont Mining Corporation, as well as her extensive board and corporate governance experience on a number of public boards of directors.
