He served as Chairman of the Board of Bank of Marin and Bank of Marin Bancorp from July 2007 through December 2013. Dr. Sklar is currently Chair of the Compensation Committee and a member of the Nominating and Governance Committee. He has also served as Chair of the Audit, Executive and Nominating and Governance Committees. Dr. Sklar trained in internal medicine at U.C. Medical Center in San Diego and in cardiology at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center and went on to found Marin Hospitalist Medical Group and Marin Medical Practice Concepts. Dr. Sklar retired as Marin General Hospital s Chief Medical Officer and from the practice of Cardiology with Cardiovascular Associates of Marin and San Francisco, of which he was managing partner for more than twenty years. He is a former executive consultant at Marin Health Medical Center and a current director of the California Film Institute.
