Mr. deVeer is a Director, Partner and, since February 2025, Co-President of Ares Management Corporation. He is Co-Chair of the Ares Operating Committee and is a member of several Ares Investment Committees. Mr. deVeer also serves as a Director and Executive Vice President of Ares Capital Corporation and previously served as the Chief Executive Officer of Ares Capital Corporation from July 2014 to April 2025. He is a Trustee and the Chairman of the board of trustees of Ares Strategic Income Fund. From July 2014 to February 2025, Mr. deVeer served as the Head of the Ares Credit Group. He may from time to time serve as an officer, director or principal of other entities affiliated with Ares Management or investment funds managed by Ares Management and its affiliates. Prior to joining Ares in 2004, Mr. deVeer was a partner at RBC Capital Partners, a division of RBC, which led the firm s middle market financing and principal investment business. Mr. deVeer joined RBC in October 2001 from Indosuez Capital, where he was a Vice President in the Merchant Banking Group. Mr. deVeer began his career at J.P. Morgan and Co., working in both the Special Investment Group of J.P. Morgan Investment Management, Inc. and, prior to that, in the Investment Banking Division of J.P. Morgan Securities Inc. Mr. deVeer serves on the Boston College board of regents and the board of advisors of the Yale Jackson School of Global Affairs. Mr. deVeer received a B.A. from Yale University and an M.B.A. from Stanford University s Graduate School of Business. Mr. deVeer s knowledge of and extensive experience in the capital markets, together with his experience in leadership and strategic guidance in our global Credit business, position him well to serve on the Board.
