Dr. de Geus currently serves as Executive Chair of the Board of Directors of Synopsys, Inc., the leading provider of electronic design automation software, design IP and related services for semiconductor design companies. Since founding Synopsys in 1986, Dr. de Geus has held various positions at the company, including serving as Chief Executive Officer or co-Chief Executive Officer from 1994 to January 2024, Chairman of the Board from 1998 to January 2024, Senior Vice President of Engineering and Senior Vice President of Marketing. Prior to founding Synopsys, Dr. de Geus was employed by General Electric, where he was the Manager of the Advanced Computer-Aided Engineering Group.
